I love nail polish. I am a beginner at nail art, so my designs should be pretty easy to duplicate, should you want to attempt them. :) Thanks for checking out my blog.

Pink and Black Tiger Stripes!
Hellooooo! Long time no post! Here is a pic of a manicure I did last night. The base is LA Colors Pink Diamonds. The stripers are all Art Deco by LA Colors. The bright pink is Rose, light pink is Baby Pink, and the black is Black Sparkles. I haven't been posting because I've been mostly plain old single-color manicures. Which I should still be posting. So yeah, I'm back. Suckaz.
Thanks for looking!

Gold Tiger
Hello! This is Julep Sienna (two coats; absolutely beautiful polish with good application) with Orly Instant Artist Jet Black stripes. Do you love it? 'Cause I do. Does it get classier than gold with tiger stripes? Hell to the no. You know who would love this manicure? Mike Tyson.
I just noticed that my thumb looks very strangely large here. It isn't large.
Distraction from freakish thumb in 3....2.....

Fall Plaid
Hi! This is Finger Paints Cordur-Orange (I think it's two coats, and the formula was good), and the stripes are Orly Instant Artist in Yellow Submarine and LA Colors white striping polish (I'm not sure what it's called and it's all the way over there!!!) This manicure looked really good in person. I want to try the same design in different colors.
Here it is in the sun:
Thanks so much for looking!

Teal with Gold Dots
Hello there! This is one coat of Julep Emilie with dots of Julep Sienna (applied with a dotting tool. Crappily.). I joined the Julep Maven program, and it has been pretty awesome so far. I'm not kidding though. ONE COAT. Amazing.
Here is one in the shade:
Thanks for looking, friends!

It would be stranger if my nails didn't have mustaches on them.
The index finger is inspired by Scruffy from Futurama. Yellow: Two coats of China Glaze Happy Go Lucky. Orange: Two Coats of OPI Atomic Orange. Red: Two coats of China Glaze Hey Sailor. Black: Orly Instant Artist in Jet Black. I loved the colors so much I almost didn't want to put mustaches on them (!!!). My thumbs had combo mustache/beards, but they didn't turn out so well. My right thumb was a curly handlebar and a chinstrap (strange combination). My left was an evil-looking pointy goatee.

Peacock Feather Rhinestones
This is two coats of OPI Jade is the New Black. On my ring finger, I used a whole bunch of different rhinestones (I got these ones from Born Pretty Store) to make a design inspired by the eye of a peacock feather. Application tips: I put some clear topcoat (not quick drying) over the color and used an orangewood stick to pick up the stones and place them. I made sure to use a new stick, because I licked the end of it to pick up the rhinestones. Just how I roll. It looks a lot better from far away, but I can give you a couple closeups, since you're on the nice list this year.
Thanks for looking!

Bright Leopard Print
For my son's 8th birthday, we had a wild animal show. So why not leopard print nails? My first time trying leopard print, and well... I need some practice. The base is 2 coats of China Glaze Recycle. The dots are all China Glaze Neons: Flying Dragon, Flip Flop Fantasy, Japanese Koi, Four Leaf Clover. The black is Orly Instant Artist in Jet Black. You can see on my pinkie and my ring finger, it started off kind of promising. But it is dark in my house, so I can't see very well if I do my nails at night. Also, I got lazy and tired. It was a cute idea, anyway. :)

I love owls.
Owls are one of my favorite animals. I have an owl tattoo on my arm. See?
So why not an owl tattoo on my nail? This is LA Colors Color Craze in Sea Siren (2 or 3 coats, can't remember) and the owl is from Big Ruby Nail Tattoos (the Tweet collection). I can't sing their praises enough. I LOVE these nail tattoos. So simple and so cute. I get LA Colors for $1.00 per bottle at Dollar Tree. Excellent deal.

Oh, and P.S. I cut my nails.

The Most Beautiful Fail
Holy crap, dude. Amazing, right?...Wrong. It looks so pretty in pictures, but let me take you through this journey in fail. Base: 2 coats of ManGlaze Fuggen Ugly. I then attempted to do my now-signature tiger stripes with a glittery striper (you might have seen some of the matte manicures with topcoat tips and whatnot). The striper is Nail Art by Diamond Cosmetics in Opal Glitter, by the way. Anyways, the striper polish is incredibly thick, so the stripes were just blobs. So, I decided to use the striper stuff all over my nail, since it was pretty. Fast forward to the thick and globby end result. I was unsettled. Nail polish has never before provoked from me that reaction. So I topped the mess with Seche Vite and slapped on some Avon Black As Night matte polish, took some photos and immediately removed the whole mess.
Here are some more pictures of the pretty nightmare:

Blue and Silver
Sorry it's been a while! I've been lazy. :) This is from a week or so ago. The base is two coats of Zoya Breezi (which is awesome. Seriously.). I layered this with Zoya Charla, Zoya Crystal and Orly Shine. I like it, but I don't think I did the greatest job. So here are more pics:

Orange and Yellow Tiger Stripes
Here's my right hand with its broken nails. I just think these stripes looked better. This is two coats of OPI Atomic Orange (love!!!) and the stripes are Orly Instant Artist in Yellow Submarine. I did a horrible job with the striping polish on my left hand for some reason. You can see it anyway!

Turquoise Tiger
My nails, they are very toite. Toite like a toiger. Haha. This is two coats of China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise (which is SO awesome, but it chips quickly), and the stripes are Nail Art by Diamond Cosmetics in Dark Blue. I love the subtle effect.

Punisher Skulls
Hi everyone! This is kind of a tribute to my boyfriend, 'cause he's a Punisher fan. :) The white is Sally Hansen White On. The details were done with Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Black. The red is Zoya Tamsen. Yeah, there is no way I could draw skulls with my left hand, so I just made the nails on my right hand look bloody. The thumbs on both hands look the best, I think. This was a difficult manicure to do, but I really like it.

Hello Kitty Tips
This is two coats of Avon Cotton Candy. The white tip is Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in White Out. Black: Orly Instant Artist in Jet Black. Yellow: Orly Instant Artist in Yellow Submarine. Red: Zoya Tamsen. All my other nails were a complete fail, so you only get this one. I didn't even bother with topcoat on my other nails, so I got the worst sheet marks all over them.

Butterfly Wings
This is two coats of Finger Paints Outta Sight Orange. The details are done with Orly Art Polish in Jet Black, and a white Wet & Wild polish. I had seen this manicure all over the internet, and I really loved it. I gave it a try myself, and I think it's okay. Other nail bloggers used a nail art pen instead of a striper polish, which I'm sure would have turned out better. I think they look kind of like basketballs. I'll definitely try this again in the future.
Except for the side view, you are seeing rarely seen right hand!

Cherry Blossoms
Cherry blossoms! I love this. I want to do it again, and I know I will do a better job next time. Background is one coat of China Glaze Hey Sailor, black is Orly art polish in Jet Black, white is Wet & Wild, couldn't find a name, pink is Nubar in Belize Coral. I used a dotting tool for the flowers and threw a couple yellow rhinestones onto my ring finger. I wish I would have just done white flowers, but whatever, I still love it!

Purple Tiger
I love this manicure. The base is 2 (3? I forgot) coats of China Glaze Purple Panic (neon) and the stripe are Nail Art by Diamond Cosmetics in Purple Shimmer. I topped it with Seche Vite. The China Glaze polish is matte, as all true neon polishes are. It has a really cool glowy shimmer that might be pink. No sun today, boo. Anyway, Purple Panic is retina-searingly bright. Awesome. This manicure reminds me of Barbie clothes from the '80s or something.
