I Love Goooooold!

Hi hi! This is two coats of Julep Sienna topped with two coats of Nyx Girls Gilded Glitter. I love Gilded Glitter. The glitter pieces are all irregularly shaped. It's awesome. Since I'm just wading back into the blogging world, my pictures are going to be unstaged cellphone pics for now. Hence back seat of car, visible foot. 

Anyway, Julep is one of the best polish brands I've tried. It is expensive, but the Maven program is affordable and fun. I had to cancel when I moved, because the rent is too damn high! But that's another great thing about Maven. It was so easy to cancel.

Grassy Green with Gold Flakes

Hi hi! This is two coats of Julep Leah (which is a fantastic shimmery grass green) topped with one coat of Essie As Gold As It Gets. I am amazed at the quality of Julep's polishes. They are pricey (unless you are a Julep Maven, like me), but the quality is really great. The color is a bit brighter in real life. I love this gold flake topcoat from Essie's LuxEffects collection. I am excited to try it over other colors. This manicure reminded me of some sort of Asian pottery. Jade with gold leaf or something.

Gold Tiger

Hello! This is Julep Sienna (two coats; absolutely beautiful polish with good application) with Orly Instant Artist Jet Black stripes. Do you love it? 'Cause I do. Does it get classier than gold with tiger stripes? Hell to the no. You know who would love this manicure? Mike Tyson.


I just noticed that my thumb looks very strangely large here. It isn't large.

Teal with Gold Dots

Hello there! This is one coat of Julep Emilie with dots of Julep Sienna (applied with a dotting tool. Crappily.). I joined the Julep Maven program, and it has been pretty awesome so far. I'm not kidding though. ONE COAT. Amazing.

Zoya Yara

I love it so much! This is two coats of Zoya Yara. It is the one I was most excited about from Zoya's Fall 2011 collection, and it did not disappoint.

Gold Digger

This is two coats of Milani 3D topped with one coat of Cover Girl FrostSlicks in Gold Front (a discontinued Dollar Tree find) and one coat of Sally Girl gold glitter (I didn't see a name on the bottle). I got more compliments on this manicure than any other one that I've done. It was very flashy.

Strawberry Fields

This is two coats of China Glaze Strawberry Fields. My intention was to do some sort of nail art with it, but I got lazy, so let's call this a swatch. This color is so pretty.
