Fall Glitter Tips

This is two coats of Julep Stella topped with China Glaze CG in the City. I attempted a gradient effect with the glitter polish. I really liked this glitter. Removal was not as bad as it could have been (still glitter polish removal, though!). Looks like sparkly sand. I don't love this yellow color with this manicure. I do like it, but I feel that the glitter tips would have looked fabulous with a darker base polish. Maybe a dark, smoky purple shade. Or even black. To get a better look at the colors in the glitter, click to enlarge!

Fall Plaid

Hi! This is Finger Paints Cordur-Orange (I think it's two coats, and the formula was good), and the stripes are Orly Instant Artist in Yellow Submarine and LA Colors white striping polish (I'm not sure what it's called and it's all the way over there!!!) This manicure looked really good in person. I want to try the same design in different colors.

Here it is in the sun:

Thanks so much for looking!

It would be stranger if my nails didn't have mustaches on them.

The index finger is inspired by Scruffy from Futurama. Yellow: Two coats of China Glaze Happy Go Lucky. Orange: Two Coats of OPI Atomic Orange. Red: Two coats of China Glaze Hey Sailor. Black: Orly Instant Artist in Jet Black. I loved the colors so much I almost didn't want to put mustaches on them (!!!). My thumbs had combo mustache/beards, but they didn't turn out so well. My right thumb was a curly handlebar and a chinstrap (strange combination). My left was an evil-looking pointy goatee.

Get Your Lem-On

This is Get Your Lem-On from Color Club. It is a bit sheer, even after 3 coats. Next time, I will layer over a white. But it is SCENTED. It smells like lemon! The color is pretty.  Very bright yellow with a green shimmer. Sorry so boring.

More pics for you!

Orange and Yellow Tiger Stripes

Here's my right hand with its broken nails. I just think these stripes looked better. This is two coats of OPI Atomic Orange (love!!!) and the stripes are Orly Instant Artist in Yellow Submarine. I did a horrible job with the striping polish on my left hand for some reason. You can see it anyway!

Sunny Stripes

This is Zoya Alegra (two or three coats, I can't remember!) with China Glaze Happy Go Lucky and China Glaze Life Preserver on the tips, topped with two coats of China Glaze Lighthouse. I don't hate it, but for future reference, Alegra is really too pretty to cover up. Lighthouse is really beautiful.

Here it is in the shade:

As always, you can click to enlarge. I won't be held responsible for Sparklpocalypse though.

Yellow, Green, Blue

This is three coats of OPI Fiercely Fiona with layers of Zoya Apple, Zoya Ivanka, and Zoya Charla. I didn't do the best job of free-handing this, but I do think the colors look great together. Seche Vite caused some shrinkage at the tips and I even put a layer of another clear topcoat underneath it.

Here, have some more pictures!

Happy Go Lucky with Lighthouse

This is two coats of China Glaze Happy Go Lucky topped with one coat of China Glaze Lighthouse. I really love it, but unfortunately, I ruined my manicure (hence the photo being of only two nails). Sorry this one is blurry. All my pics of this turned out a little weird.

Here you can see it indoors:

I think I'm going to have to try Happy Go Lucky with orange tips (China Glaze Life Preserver?) and top the whole thing with Lighthouse. That sounds amazing. Thanks for looking!

Claire's Mood Polish: Happy/Earthy

I did an awesome graduated manicure last night, only to ruin it minutes later, so I repainted my nails with Claire's Mood Polish in Happy/Earthy. It's awesome! This is FIVE EFFING COATS, though. I had so much fun washing my hands today. Hot water: nails are yellow! Cold water: nails are green! I mostly had a cool French manicure thing going on all day, with the tips of my nails green, and the rest yellow. Here's another picture from when it was really warm in my house:

Much more yellow here. It reminds me of Now & Laters! Ok, in all the swatches I've seen, and in my photos as well, the yellow looks kind of banana yellow. It is actually a really bright, like a neon. I topped this with one coat of Sally Hansen InstaDri topcoat.
