Kitty!

I love Hello Kitty. So much so that I have a Hello Kitty tattoo. Here's a less permanent way to show your HK love. This is three coats of Nubar Belize Coral (which I received from a friend in an exchange), with the Modern Hello Kitty decals from Sephora. I did a crap job of applying them, as I used tweezers since my nails weren't dry, so they got bent on the corners. Boo! The decals are so cute anyway.

Here it is again, quite blurry, but you can see my thumb:

That's So Wizard

This manicure made me think of wizards. The base is three coats China Glaze Flying Dragon (Neon). On my pinkie, I added two coats of Kleancolor Holo Chrome. My ring finger and thumb feature OPI Silver Shatter. On my middle finger, I used Kleancolor Silver Star, which looks awesome, but takes a bit of work to get the stars how you want them.

Flying Dragon with no topcoat (looks shiny here, but actually dries to a matte/satin finish):

Yellow, Green, Blue

This is three coats of OPI Fiercely Fiona with layers of Zoya Apple, Zoya Ivanka, and Zoya Charla. I didn't do the best job of free-handing this, but I do think the colors look great together. Seche Vite caused some shrinkage at the tips and I even put a layer of another clear topcoat underneath it.

Here, have some more pictures!

Orange-tacular Floral Ruffian!

China Glaze Japanese Koi (two coats) topped with Zoya Tanzy (two coats), all topped off with Essie Matte About You topcoat (you guessed it, two coats). Dried flowers are from Born Pretty Store, and I attached them with Orly Top 2 Bottom topcoat.

Here come the pictures!

Japanese Koi by itself (no topcoat to show off the neon satin finish):

Nail Fail!!!

Allow me to explain: Sally Hansen Nail Prisms in Amber Ruby is gorgeous... just not over a bright red (Zoya Sooki, which is gorgeous by itself). You can see some of the awesome duochrome in this photo. In the future, I'll layer Amber Ruby over a black or very dark red.

Oh, and I got dirt or something on my nails before they dried. Check out the bubbles:

Purple Crackle!

This is Claire's Mood Polish in Calm/Wild topped with China Glaze Crackle Glaze in Faultline, no topcoat. A lot of people didn't care for the Faultline formula, but once I got the hang of it, I liked it. You have to do a quick, somewhat thick coat over completely dry polish. Most crackle topcoats fare better with a thin coat, but not this one. Here are a couple closeups of the nails on which I used a thicker coat:

Pink and Sparkly!

This is China Glaze It's Poppin' topped with Nubar Nail Jewels, which is a loose glitter. I can't find the color on Nubar's website, but it is a silver holographic glitter. I attempted to do an ombre or dip-dyed effect. I applied two coats of It's Poppin', and then I applied Orly Top 2 Bottom. I used a fan brush to tap the glitter onto my nails, and followed that up with a thick coat of Seche Vite. Please excuse the chipped area on my ring finger! The pink didn't chip, but the glitter did.

At night, indoors with flash:

SUPER-blurred! This was a mistake, but I'm posting it because you can see Zoya Areej on my toes:

This was a fun manicure, and pretty easy to do. Thanks for looking!

Lancome Le Magnetique Bordeaux Esmee

I received this in an exchange from an awesome lady! :) It's a very hard to find magnetic polish which was limited edition a few years ago.

Look at it!!! This is two coats, with topcoat. I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.

Glo Baby Glo - Coral

This is a UV reactive polish I received in an exchange (from Scotland!). This is two coats without topcoat. It is such a fabulous color! Check it out in the sun:

Pretty, huh? And here it is under a blacklight. Unfortunately, it's just a lame little bulb, so you can't see much of the UV effect here. Still pretty cool!

Silver with Peacock Feather

This is Orly Shine (3 coats, although 2 would suffice) with OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous (badly) freehanded onto the tips. The decal is from Big Ruby Tattoos. The decals are insanely easy to apply, and so cute. I definitely recommend them.

Up close on the decal!
